Low-Lift Blade
Scag Turf Tiger

Use a Low Lift Blade when the conditions are dry, the region is experiencing a drought, or when performing seasonal scalping. When conditions like this are evident, lift created by the cutter blades can be reduced. The Low Lift Blade will also help reduce cutter deck blowout during the conditions stated above.

Sand Blade
Scag Turf Tiger

Use a Sand Blade in sandy soil areas when the conditions are dry, the region is experiencing a drought, or when performing seasonal scalping. When conditions like this are evident, lift created by the cutter blades can be reduced, decreasing the abrasion wear to the cutter blades and deck caused by sand. The Sand Blade will help reduce cutter deck blowout and abrasion wear during the conditions stated above. The Sand Blades are made with 1/4" thick material and have slightly less lift than the Low Lift Blade.

Standard Blade
Scag Turf Tiger

Use a Standard Blade for the best overall cutting performance in most conditions. The Standard Blade will create optimum lift that is required during normal cutting conditions resulting in a clean, even appearance.

High-Lift Blade
Scag Turf Tiger

Use a High Lift Blade when the conditions are extremely wet or using a grass catcher on the Freedom Z. The High Lift Blades will create greater lift that may be needed in difficult cutting conditions. Additional deck cleaning may be required when using High Lift Blades.

Eliminator Blade
Scag Turf Tiger
“Eliminator” mulching blades are designed for use with a mulching (discharge block-off) plate or with a complete mulching system, such as the Hurricane Plus Mulch System. These blades feature a high lift, “double-cut” edge for quick, thorough shredding of grass clippings and debris. Vital nutrients are returned to the soil.

*Not all blade types are available for all mower models. Consult your Scag dealer for specific information.
