GAINESVILLE, Fla. (March 4, 2026) — Daniel Wilkerson and his SCAG Power Equipment team are ready to kick off the 2026 Mission Foods NHRA Drag Racing Series season this weekend at the Amalie Motor Oil NHRA Gatornationals at Gainesville Raceway.
Wilkerson comes into the 2026 season off a strong 2025 campaign, finishing fifth in the Funny Car points standings. With consistent performances throughout the year, he established himself as a strong contender and is looking to build on that momentum as the team kicks off the new season in Gainesville.
“Running last week was a great way to knock the rust off, but the boys and I are tired of sitting around and we’re ready to race,” said Wilkerson. “Gainesville is a great place to kick off because we have a ton of people from Florida Outdoor Equipment that come and support all four cars. Can’t wait to see everybody again and hopefully bring home one of those diamond Wallys.”
This weekend promises a strong turnout of SCAG Power Equipment dealers, along with distributor Florida Outdoor Equipment. With all four SCAG Racing cars in action, the SCAG family that makes this program possible will have a front-row experience of the drag strip, seeing the team in full force.
The Amalie Motor Oil NHRA Gatornationals begins with four rounds of qualifying Friday, March 6th, at 2:30 and 5 p.m. and Saturday, March 7th, at 12:35 and 3 p.m. Eliminations are scheduled to begin Sunday, March 8th, at 10:00 a.m. Television coverage of the event will be on FOX Sports 1 (FS1) with a qualifying show on Sunday at 10 a.m. ET and eliminations at 12 p.m.
