EPPING, N.H. (June 04, 2026) — SCAG Racing continues a three-race stretch this weekend at the NHRA New England Nationals at New England Dragway, the second stop in the run. Following last weekend’s NHRA Potomac Nationals at Maryland International Raceway, drivers Justin Ashley, Will Smith, Daniel Wilkerson, and Dave Richards arrive in Epping focused on improving qualifying performance and carrying stronger consistency into race day. SCAG Racing will host SCAG Power Equipment dealers, customers, and guests throughout the weekend in partnership with the KPM distributor.
Justin Ashley returns to Epping this weekend with his SCAG Power Equipment Top Fuel team, a venue he considers a home-track environment.
“Epping has a special place in my heart primarily because it’s close to home,” said Ashley. “But it also has a uniqueness about it that reminds me of grassroots-style drag racing. It’s a small facility with a very active and passionate fan base. We want to put on a good show for them by executing at a high level from start to finish, including a critical Friday night qualifying session. That’ll likely set the top portion of the field because of the cooler temperatures. Our SCAG Power Equipment team has been working diligently to turn on win lights. We are eager to continue that process this weekend.”
Daniel Wilkerson and the SCAG Power Equipment Ford Funny Car team return to Epping with continued focus on the on-site support from KPM Exceptional and the opportunity to connect with a mix of longtime SCAG dealers and first-time race attendees at the track.
“Excited to head to Epping this weekend,” said Wilkerson. “The fans are always excited for drag racing which serves as extra motivation. Plus we are back to back with our KPM distributor and they always bring a great mix of hardcore race fan dealers and brand new to racing dealers, so I can’t wait to see them smiling on the starting line.”
Will Smith and the Bluebird Turf Top Fuel team continue the three-race stretch in Epping this weekend, building on recent round-win results as the team works to strengthen consistency across all four qualifying sessions.
“We’re excited to head to Epping this weekend for the NHRA New England Nationals,” said Smith. “The last two races have both resulted in round wins for our team and it’s encouraging to see the progress we’re making. Our Bluebird Turf team has been working so hard, and we look forward to carrying our momentum into the weekend and taking another step forward. The goal is to keep improving, put together a strong qualifying effort, and give everyone who comes out to support us something to cheer about on Sunday. KPM will once again be our race distributor, and we’ll have a large group of SCAG dealers, customers, and guests joining us throughout the weekend. It’s a great opportunity to spend time with the people who support our brands, and we always enjoy being able to share the NHRA experience with them.”
Dave Richards and the Bluebird Turf Funny Car team arrive in Epping for the NHRA New England Nationals, aiming to carry recent performance gains into a more complete weekend effort.
“We’re looking forward to getting to Epping this weekend,” said Richards. “New England Dragway is one of those places where the fans are right on top of the action, and they bring a lot of energy throughout the weekend. We’ve made some positive strides with our SCAG Power Equipment Funny Car recently, and we’re focused on continuing to build on that momentum. It’s always great to spend time with our dealers and guests at the track. We’re ready to get after it and put together a strong weekend for everyone supporting us.”
